Sderot’s Center for Young Adults
Located in the heart of the Sderot, Gvanim’s Center for Young Adults is a communal home for people who are committed to and actively involved in helping the community.
The Center has 13 apartments and, in March 2008, has about 30 residents. Among the residents are soldiers serving in programs that include community volunteering or teaching in schools, college students and a group of young adults with emotional disabilities who have volunteered for National Service as part of the Hed program. The Center includes a social club for the residents and the neighborhood’s children.
Gvanim Association supports the Center residents and helps them find placement in volunteer positions in the Social Services, schools and cultural activities.
Gvanim thanks its Program Partners: the Municipality of Sderot, JDC-Israel, the Israeli Youth Movement, the Youth Division and the Nachal Branch of the IDF
